I enjoyed this record. It was quite eclectic from a mix perspective, and I liked that the artist leant quite heavily into the nonchalant singer being a character and persona in the music. I haven't heard any of their other work to know whether this was specific to this album or not. But I think it deserves credit even without context- it is an enjoyable album.

Critical concensus is this isn't her best and without hearing everything else I can't say. But I more or less like what I hear.

I can tell I've become too esoteric with my criticism because my reaction to this album was the almost meaningless "I get where it's trying to go but it struggles to find it's footing", but I think it manages to create enough of it's own identity to stand out at least
