Took me two listens but I think this finally clicked for me, maybe I'll figure out why that was and write a real review later

13/8 time right off the bat really set the tone for what was a very strong record. With the music seemingly hugely inspired by the Radiohead records of the mid-late 2000s, it really was uncanny how much the singer sounded like Thom Yorke. In fact, trying to add any non-Radiohead related critique is proving quite hard. It’s a very energetic sound, it stands in sharp contrast to some of the off-the-shelf music we’ve been hearing recently, and it has abundant personality. I’m unsure exactly where I will land on this rating. I’m also unsure where I land on the lyric ‘you either die scared or die nervous’, but I did really enjoy ‘they say our love was only half real, but that’s only half true’.
