I think I struggled with this record because it sounded like a Bill Wurtz Youtube video. It had real potential but the longer I listened, the further away from that I felt it got.

A good listen for good weather but I don't know that I'd be rushing back. I think that while his personal projects are very good, Thundercat's records lack distinction. I feel as though he just makes these because he likes them which is certainly valid. The result of this is that his best work is often on other peoples' albums.
