Just great isn't it. Bennington and Shinoda both giving genre defining performances on this record. I might even argue they never reached this peak again, though Meteora comes awfully close. The structure of this and the pacing are really well done, and it feels like there isn't a wasted second on the album.

You know what. This may actually be the most cohesive album reviewed in 2026 so far. Very very clearly constructed to be listened as one, with the songs playing off one another. I had obviously heard the singles and held a judgement going in, but i can safely say i was very surprised to find out this album is much more than just a few singles. Very enjoyable listening experience

Perhaps the defining record for a whole genre and era. Despite its booming sound, it still manages to coax out subtlety in the lyrics. It has its finger pressed on the pulse of the (adolescent) human condition. It is also blessed with rallying singles stitched seamlessly into its fabric. The pacing is excellent, and In The End stands out as an unfathomably good track. A wholly convincing record.

Didn't expect this album to have the Franz Ferdinand problem of all the songs kind of sounding the same. In the end was still the clear highlight. Didn't expect it to be as hip hoppy as it was either. I think I kind of expected to enjoy it more than I actually did tbh.
