Hell yeah

What tends to happen with new Gorillaz albums is I think they're okay, then after a few months I realise some of the songs have stuck with me more than I realised, so I go back and up the rating by 1. This one left a much stronger first impression on me, with some excellent theming throughout. I'm also a huge fan of the short film they released with this. Despite this initial high rating, I still am tempted to revisit in a few months to see if tracks like Orange County stand the test of time.

God the amount of passion in this album is incredible. Obviously In The Air Tonight is an all timer but I was surprised about how much I enjoyed the rest of the album as well. Almost as much as he loves those brass hits in every other song.

Definitely a stronger second half that won me over. What an incredible pairing.

Incredible opening with a chilling guitar performance, but definitely got weaker as the record went on.

San Jacinto carries a lot of weight for this album. Brilliant track.

The guitar on In The Beginning slaps.

Not quite as strong as I, Robot, but full of bangers all the same. Thoroughly enjoyed this

Would've scored higher had he been a monkey.

I enjoy fun, personally.
